                                       FASHION SHOW/COMPETITION

The MOC UP Team Competition is staged in two rounds preliminary and final. The Preliminary competitions include:   Private Interview, Stage Presence, Runway, Fitness/Swimwear/Underwear, and Casual wear.  During the competition finals an on-stage question will be presented to the final 3 teams, and other awards will also be given beside the ultimate title of Sexiest Men in the World: Top Team Photos, Top Team Runway, Top Team Swimsuit, Top Team in Synchronizing walk and  Best Team popularity(voted by the public via social media).

Private Interview- Private Interviews consists of an 3-5 minute interview conducted by the judges with each team.  The interview is designed to discover the teams interests, opinions, aspirations, accomplishments, poise, presence, and their ability to fulfill the responsibilities of the title.  Traditional standard for business interview attire is most appropriate; however, contemporary trends that maintain the standard of business-appropriate are acceptable.  Each interview is formatted in four specific sections:

  • Opening Statement (15 seconds or less)

  • Business Interview Questions (approximately 5 minutes)

  • Media/Press Round  (approximately 2 minutes)

  • Closing Statement (15 seconds or less)

The interviews will give the judges insight into the contestant’s personality, the depth of knowledge about current events, the ability to handle difficult questions, and how well each one is able to answer questions and validate their answers. The interview is structured in a manner to determine if the teams could be a well-rounded spokesperson for the national organization of SMUA1 and MOC UP.

Stage Presence- Essentially, a good stage presence pulls the audience into the competition. It's the ability to make the audience connect with the models and envelop them in the story being told, and in turn to express what the audience feels.

  • Posing

  • Facial Expressions

  • Pace of Walking

  • Hand Movement

  • Being relaxed on stage

Fitness/Swimwear/Underwear- Fitness/Swimwear/Underwear displays each contestant’s ability to maintain a healthy lifestyle of nutrition and physical fitness.  Judges consider each teams  sense of confidence, attractiveness, and presence.  It is important to remember that it is not about any particular body style, shape or frame.  This category is more about how well each team maintains good health, and their ability to represent the organization as a fitness/swimwear/underwear model. Criteria that will be judged are:

  • Attractiveness and Presence – Can either team be the face of the organization in the lifestyle industry?

  •  Statement of Strong Physical Health – Is each team toned, firm, and physically fit?

  • Modeling Ability – Does each team exhibit good posture? Does he walk with poise and confidence?

  • Overall Presentation – Does each team exhibit energy, charisma, self-composure, and an attractive expression?
