STRONG MEN UNITED AS 1 (SMUA1) was organized in 2005 by Founder and CEO De'Mario Armstrong, and  Asst. P. J Brown. Since its organization SMUA1 has grown in numbers and has become one of the Midwest's largest central resources in uniting together strong men of color from all multi-cultural communities.  SMUA1 is progressively establishing and creating events celebrating the community's rich culture, diversity, contributions, and achievements. We believe in our heart and mind there is no obstacle that can prevent us from accomplishing any given task as long as we stand together as 1.  In addition, we work to develop resources for the community which extends our experiences and voice to other constituents around the world.

 

Through community involvement, peer-led support, and leadership SMUA1 works to make an impact that affects the quality of life for the present and future of our community. We at SMUA1 strive to eliminate anything that is negative, and always strive for a positive outcome. Within 3 years of service SMUA1 has expanded, and now have operations not just in Chicago but in the  East Coast, West Coast, and Southern Regions. Each year SMUA1 will strive to bring strong men together not only for events, but to build a strong community through communication, positive visibility, and educational opportunities.

 

MISSION STATEMENT- SMUA1 will continue to build international bridges that strengthen the identity of the community needing more strong men in today's world, and always promoting unity, friendship, and brotherhood wherever we may be.
